No — it's complementary. Downdetector aggregates anonymous user reports across thousands of consumer apps. WhatIsDown aggregates the vendors' own official status feeds across the dev stack (Statuspage, Google Cloud incidents API, vendor RSS). Each service card optionally links out to its Downdetector page when one exists, but the live red/green answer on WhatIsDown comes from the vendor's official feed, not from user reports.

Hide services you don't use entirely with the customize button. Preferences save in your browser's localStorage — no account needed.
